Those of you who are visionary and hear the voice of the Lord know that the desire of the Lord's heart is to bring the lost into His Kingdom. You also know that God's work is not about growing any local church so much as it's about growing the Body of Christ, everywhere. The harvest is ripe, and when the harvest comes in, it will require a focus that is far bigger than an individual church to care for all the people; it will take many churches.

We are a group who has come together from several churches because we see this vision. What we are doing is not about our churches. It is about God's Kingdom and His work.

The harvest is ripe, and it needs to begin. God has given us a strategy for preparing churches in our geographical area. The first step in the strategy is to bring intercessors together from churches all over a four county radius of our location. We are to do this by inviting them to a banquet, to honor and encourage them, and to connect with them. We are to give the banquet, and we are to trust God to provide the means, as well as give to help fund it ourselves, which we are doing. But we cannot provide all the necessary funds.

The banquet is to be called "Connecting Intercessors 2008" and will be held as a brunch at Michiels Fox Banquets on Sunday, 18 May, beginning with registration at noon.

We are asking that you prayerfully consider helping to fund this first step of the vision. For now, because it is already established, we are using the PayPal account of the River Church, Appleton, WI, though this is not a River Church function. However, you will be issued a receipt at the end of the year from the River Church. It will be noted on the receipt that your gift was for ARC. Your gift will not be used to fund the church or its in-house endeavors. This is strictly for the ARC project, which many of us at the River support, but it is not an in-house project of the church. It will be kept as a separate fund in the church's accounting records and used strictly for ARC, via ARC supporters.
