 | The River Church Fellowship of Ministries |
Overview:
"God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord" (I Corinthians 1:9)
The River Church Fellowship of Ministries (RCFM) was founded to serve three basic parts of the overall vision of The River Church:
|
1. The equipping, oversight, and support of ministries related to The River Church.
2. The relationship that The River Church has with many different parts of the body of Christ to promote interchange, understanding and friendship between them.
3. The mobilizing of spiritual forces for the sake of the gospel. |
Organization
A primary goal of RCFM is to be a relationship-based fellowship, and not just an organization. Therefore membership in RCFM requires a genuine and continuing relationship to the River Church Ministry Team. Because many want to relate to The River Church on different levels, and we believe that there is a strategic purpose with each level, two different divisions to RCFM have been developed.
|
The First Division is for ministers who are ordained through RCFM and look to the fellowship as their primary source of equipping and accountability.
The Second Division is for ministers who want to be related to RCFM in order to partake of the fellowship, interchange, and personal ministry, but are primarily accountable to another ministry, church, movement or denomination. |
We do not consider one of these divisions more or less important than the other. However, if someone in the Second Division needs serious personal counseling, or discipline, we defer to their primary source of accountability for this, but would offer any assistance.
The Primary goal of RCFM is to grow in quality and depth of relationship, not just numbers. RCFM is open to a relationship with ministries that are 1) devoted to the promulgation of the gospel, 2) committed to sound Biblical teaching, 3) whose lifestyle reflects the Biblical standards of leadership, 4) who are committed to unity with other streams and movements in the church, and 5) the fruit of their ministry exemplifies the character of the Holy Spirit, and glorifies the Lord Jesus.
We believe that the Lord may express His will or Wisdom through any member of His Body at any time. This of course does not imply that RCFM will always act on advice or counsel from the membership, but that our ears will always be open to anyone in the Fellowship.
Membership Requirements & Benefits
Because RCFM is based primarily on relationships, it is required of all active members to attend at least one RCFM function every two years. These functions include retreats, conferences, councils, etc. This requirement can only be waived if it is established that the member is otherwise maintaining a relationship through personal visits to the RCFM headquarters, or personal visits from RCFM representatives or Ministry Team members to their base of ministry.
Individual RCFM membership dues for Level One- Ordained members is $350.00 annually. For Level Two- Associate Membership the dues are $200.00 annually. For spouses who have applied the dues are $100.00 annually. This will be prorated according to the month the applicant is accepted.
All members receive a subscription to each Tape of the Month distributed by The River Church. These subscriptions are to keep the members abreast of the message that is being promulgated through The River Church, as well as being part of our commitment to help equip our members. These will also qualify members for the Tape of the Month subscriber's discounts on all other River Church products, including up to a 20% discount on all tapes, videos, and premiums (subscriptions are not included). All you need to do is identify your relationship with The River Church when ordering, and you will receive the discount.
The primary benefit of the Fellowship should always be fellowship. At least one retreat and/or conference will be scheduled each year just for RCFM members. The purpose of these meetings is a closer interchange with the primary River Church Ministry Team, and the establishing of other Ministry Teams for specific missions. These are also designed to stimulate an interchange of ministries between different congregations within the Fellowship, and between different movements for the edification of the whole body of Christ.
